Dr. Malik holds an M.A. from Oxford University and a M.D. from Cambridge University. He specialised in interventional cardiology while also pursuing research interests in heart muscle disorders both in the clinic and basic science laboratory.  

He has been actively involved with numerous investments in Europe and the United States in the biopharmaceutical and medical device arenas in a variety of therapeutic areas. 

Senior full professor in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry and the Head of Clinic Adult Psychiatry in the Ghent University Hospital. 

He holds e.g., a master’s in Medical Sciences, in Psychiatry and in Criminology. He also holds a PhD in medical sciences and is a trained psychotherapist.

Dr. Professor Peter Gheeraert is a highly accomplished interventional cardiologist and a revered figure in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
